Here we are on a beautiful lead in to another weekend. Seems like it is time for another installment of… The Friday Bieblog! A weekly glimpse into the fascinating (or not) world of Justin Bieber. Well okay. It may not be an every Friday thing but I posted a blog on Friday last week so… ya. Here’s another one!
The White House has received (at the time of this writing) 221,336 signatures on a petition filed at the White House “We The People” website to have Justin Bieber’s green card revoked and deported back to Canada. Wow! That is 121,336 signatures more than the White House needed to require that they look into this petition. This number jumped over a hundred thousand signatures in just 24 hours! According to the White House, on all petitions, “We the People” states, “If a petition meets the signature threshold [in this case, 100,000], it will be reviewed by the Administration and we will issue a response.” The petition itself states about the Canadian pop star, “We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked.”
I guess the people have spoken now haven’t they? As I have stated in a prior blog I am not a fan of the young Canadian pop star, I think this is an extreme way to publicly spank someone, albeit one that the little punk does deserve. It is most definitely time to get your $#!& together Mr Bieber. And I use the term Mister loosely…very loosely! See, that title needs to be an earned one. One that elevates a young man into adulthood. Like being called sir! A status to which Mr. Bieber has not achieved, and hopefully you can feel the sarcasm that drips from my use of it, but I digress. I do however wonder as to what Justin is feeling right now? Knowing that a large population of the United States is willing to go so far as to create and sign a petition to have you legally tossed out of their country. I know that for myself I would be feeling an acute sense of embarrassment. What will his highly paid spin doctors do about this dilemma he has gotten himself into? I guess it’s just going to be a wait and see thing as the White House has 30 days to respond to this petition.
So in the meantime as we await with bated breath for the much-anticipated response from the White House I have gathered a few smatterings of an insanely large collection of memes out there involving “Da Biebs.” Here are just a few of my favorites that made me chuckle.
Nice to have the spotlight elsewhere, eh Ron?
Hmmmm, an uncanny resemblance don’t you think?
Charm’n feller this guy!
and my personal favorite!
Stay safe, stay warm and be kind to each other!
